Twisted Nail was selected to provide trucking and material delivery services for the construction of a new paper manufacturing facility in Waco, TX, located along Alliance Parkway. This ground-up project required consistent coordination, multiple material types, and a mix of truck configurations to meet varying site needs. Through our strong relationship with Killeen Crushed Stone, we secured all trucking operations and have remained a key logistics partner from the start of the project to its near completion.
The Waco Paper Plant project began in May 2023 and continues today, demonstrating Twisted Nail’s ability to support long-term construction efforts with consistent, dependable service. Early phases involved daily deliveries averaging 1,000 tons of material, including base, millings, fill, hotmix, and 1” and 3/8” limestone. As construction has progressed, delivery frequency has transitioned to roughly every few weeks, typically maintaining the same 1,000-ton pace per order.
Our team has utilized end dumps, belly dumps, tandems, and flatbeds to meet the site’s evolving requirements. This flexibility has allowed us to efficiently handle a wide range of materials and site conditions. Over the course of the project, Twisted Nail has delivered more than 50,000 tons while maintaining strong communication and coordination with on-site teams.
While initial material bids went elsewhere, our long-standing partnership with Killeen Crushed Stone positioned us as the exclusive trucking provider for the project. This relationship has also led to ongoing collaboration with Complete Site Services, the site contractor, creating opportunities for future work in the region.
